Traveling is one of my passions, and going for an outdoor adventure is my thing too. Sometimes I come to think of aspiring to join the Amazing Race. Geezzz if only I have the talents in mapping and signs I would definitely go for it! Anyway when it comes to the challenges, I think I can pretty handle that thing… but not in the snakes and worms thing, man! DEFINITELY NOT! I’ll leave that challenge to my partner hehehe..
Gosh I’m fantasizing so much again when I even not accomplished yet the “ultimate goal” of our barkada – that is to climb Mt.Apo. Too bad we weren’t able to climb Mt. Apo last April when Harlie went home for some reasons. After conquering Mt. Apo, my next destination is of course! from the land of my favorite and loved country, Japan – the MT. FUJI. I hope all these dream will soon be into reality.
Speaking of climbing I have some advices to all those beginners in mountaineering. When you are on for a very long trekking, of course you will feel hungry while on the trail. Choose foods that instantly make you full but convenient to put in your bag. Such as chocolate bars, jelly ace, etc. Notice that these foods are rich in sugar, yes you need sugar while trekking ‘coz they will give you energy. For me, jelly ace is the best because there’s a combination of solid and liquid, it can even sustain your thirst. If you’re such a fanatic of Goldilock’s Polvoron, please, oh please AVOID this food this time, reason is so obvious, it will just double your thirst. You will consume so much of your water supply. By the way, before going for a long hiking, you must do “carbo load” 2-3 days before your day one. What is carbo load? You must eat loads and loads of foods that are rich in carbohydrates, such as rice and bread. This will serve as your stocked energy on your body. That’s it!
