BORAT! This is probably the trademark of this man to the world.
I was laughing at my sister and told her, what the heck is up to her when one day going home bringing with her is a DVD of Borat. I thought it was one of the few corny films she had been introducing to me, but it’s not! You can’t blame me you know.. ‘coz just by reading at the title alone that has captioned there “documentary”, only the dull side came into my mind.
Cohen’s acting is really impressive and funny indeed in that film, even in the accent alone hahaha! I mean no offense with the Kazakhis but it really does made me laugh. I also adore his great courage too as an actor, could you imagine, having a scene fighting with this very, very fat man having your face in front of his butt…and not to mention that they are both naked.. yes! oh yes!! even a single piece of underwear is none… and there were also scenes that they running after each other while fighting..while being naked… OMG! Anyway, in some parts of the world like in the States or in Europe, naked thing ain’t no big deal at all, but here in Asia.. hey it’s still an issue, you know…
I’m pretty sure that Sacha Baron Cohen or the name BORAT had a great impact in the world, especially in his own country. He just made a move to show to the people that no matter who you are, even if you belong to the third world country, but as long as you have the spirit and optimism to go on, you could really do it and succeed! The world now is getting smaller as time goes by, and tribal is no longer a big debate.
